अरबी समुद्रातील चक्रीवादळामुळे मच्छिमारांनी समुद्रात जाऊ नये - मुख्य सचिवांचे आवाहन

मुंबई, दि. 4 : अरबी समुद्रात 'महा' नावाचे चक्रीवादळ निर्माण झाल्याने त्यामुळे उद्‌भवणाऱ्या नैसर्गिक आपत्तीला तोंड देण्यासाठी प्रशासकीय यंत्रणेच्या तयारीचा आढावा केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळ सचिव राजीव गौबा यांनी आज व्हिडिओ कॉन्फरन्सिंगद्वारे घेतला. महाराष्ट्र, गुजरात, दमण-दीवच्या मुख्य सचिवांशी कॅबिनेट सचिवांनी संवाद साधला.

अरबी समुद्रामध्ये हे चक्रीवादळ आले असून राज्यात विशेषत: ठाणे आणि पालघर जिल्ह्याला अधिक सतर्क राहण्याच्या सूचना यावेळी देण्यात आल्या. पुढील तीन दिवस (दि. 8 नोव्हेंबर पर्यंत) मच्छिमारांनी मासेमारीसाठी समुद्रात जाऊ नये, जे मच्छिमार समुद्रात गेले आहेत, त्यांनी तातडीने परत यावे. परतताना जवळच्या बंदरांवर आसरा घ्यावा, असे आवाहन राज्याचे मुख्य सचिव अजोय महेता यांनी केले आहे.

चक्रीवादळामुळे पालघर, ठाणे तसेच मध्य महाराष्ट्रात पावसाचा अंदाज व्यक्त करण्यात आला आहे. त्यामुळे जिल्हा प्रशासनाला सतर्क राहण्याच्या सूचना देण्यात आल्या आहेत, असे मुख्य सचिवांनी सांगितले.

नैसर्गिक आपत्तीत मदतीसाठी राष्ट्रीय आपत्ती निवारण दलाच्या तुकड्या पुणे येथे तैनात असून आवश्यकता भासल्यास त्यांची मदत घेतली जाईल, खबरदारीचा उपाय म्हणून समुद्र किनाऱ्यालगतच्या जिल्ह्यांना अधिक सतर्क राहण्याच्या सूचना देण्यात आल्या आहेत, असेही यावेळी सांगण्यात आले.

          

बैठकीस पदुम विभागाचे प्रधान सचिव अनुपकुमार, मदत व पुनर्वसन विभागाचे सचिव किशोरराजे निंबाळकर, माहिती व जनसंपर्क सचिव ब्रिजेश सिंह, आपत्ती निवारण कक्षाचे संचालक अभय यावलकर उपस्थित होते.

Anglers should avoid going to sea

due to the danger of cyclone in Arabian Sea

Situation reviewed by Central Cabinet Secretary

Mumbai, date.4th: Central Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba communicated with the Chief Secretary of the states- Maharashtra, Gujrat, and Daman-Diu through video conferencing. He reviewed the preparations of administration to face the natural calamity likely to be appear due to the cyclone Maha in Arabian Sea.

     

Cyclone Maha has intensified in the Arabian Sea and alert is issued in the state. A Special alert for Thane and Palghar district is issued. Ajoy Mehta, Chief Secretary of the state has appealed anglers not to go to the sea for next three days (till 8th Nov.)  The anglers who are already gone to sea are also advised to return immediately and take shelter at nearest port.

Rainfall is predicted due to the cyclone in Palghar, Thane, and central Maharashtra. Therefore, the district administration is directed to be on alert mode, told the Chief Secretary.

     

Teams of the National Disaster Response Force are deployed at Pune to provide help in the natural calamity.  Their help will be taken if needed. He also told that districts nearby coastal areas are instructed to be more alert as a precautionary measure.

     

Principal Secretary of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries Department Anupkumar, Secretary of Relief and Rehabilitation Department Kishorraje Nimbalkar, Information and Public Relations Department’s Secretary Brijesh Singh, Director of Disaster Management Unit Abhay Yawalkar were present in the meeting.
